Thinking abt This on this fine and rainy Saturday. This dynamic .... so twisted, so completely fucked. At first, it's cute, almost redeeming, how much Kaon loves his turbofox, but then come to find out this beloved pet is a double agent they've lobotomized and domesticated. It's fucked because they literally could have just killed him but instead do... this. Like. Listen. Regardless of how they currently treat The Pet, they all knew he used to be a person, a person who betrayed them, but Kaon still dotes on it, clearly loves it, but loves it as a pet...

It rly begs the question of what his relationship was like with Dominus before the lobotomy... like... one could almost come to the conclusion that someone convinced Tarn not to kill Dominus when he was found out, but instead, let him keep him, even in a changed state............. Dom what did you do to maintain your cover (Dom did you fuck that chair)

And on top of all that, like, that's not even getting into current Vos... to replace Dominus with someone who looks similar and gets the same codename... and Kaon is BLIND. I. I cant even begin to unpack that rn.

Something else that's interesting is dominus's disguise here, the thing on his back looks like the barrel of a gun... did he also turn into a sniper rifle? I'm sure this is explicitly stated somewhere. Also also wondering,,,, I think it's stated that the DJD knew he had a turbofox alt mode pre-discovery, but I cant say for certain? if so, was this disguise an outershell? Could the outershell incorporate into the alt mode?? These are the questions I have.....

I FEEL SO FUCKING SILLY😭

I still like the idea of SG Tarn having a mask, there's still interesting emotions there, but it wouldn't make much sense for him to wear his faction's badge in SG because the themes are ~different~

So I've been trying to puzzle that out

And I just realized

We can give him a more simple visor and mask combo, like we see with SEVERAL characters (such as Rewind, Chromedome, and Tailgate)

Ten or fifteen or–#thirty minutes later #Just so that I don’t have to hit post lol #But yeah I usually simply draft posts and once in a while go dig down for posts from one year ago or so.#Ask me how long does it take me to dive through my ~17 800 drafts of posts (a lot) (90% of them are reblogs of course)#There’s also the fact that I want to reread the posts I’ve made some time after I’ve made them–#so that my brain is rewinded enough to notice any typos #(sometimes I end up rewriting the posts from scratch though so it doesn’t always work.#Other times I’ve reread the posts so many times I’ve memorized the sentences in them and will not notice typos because of that.)#Also sometimes I’m like “something something Akutagawa's bandaids”#or “something something compilation of Akutagawa looking at Atsushi in official art”#which is something I don’t have time to do on the moment and will leave for later #(and occasionally it happens I will never get to it at all. I know the innate structure of tumblr separates the art from the artist w regard to context and such (it's just What Reblogging Does) but man . making works about disability that people then don't recognize as being about disability does result in a lot of well intentioned but reaaaaally badly communicated sentiments

What a good episode. Maaaaaan

#I can't even start I'd be here forever #It did take me in fact like one hour total to watch it lmoa. It sooooo good!!! The animation is very good #(albeit it's awfully low on brightness at times. But such seems to be the sin of lot of recent media unfortunately)#but I'm not even going to dwell on that. The plot / storytelling is so good. Sooooo god. I adore this arc.#Love the symbolism. I've been saying this for almost two years now (is it really been that long ever since these episodes came out... ) but #I want to write an analysis on the op & ed so baddd. The emphasis on the twilight this episode!!#Like the sun was setting on the detective agency. I love love love the hd. They're so cool in this episode and they're so cool in general.#I ADORE Jouno. I don't feel particularly strongly for sue/giku yet their scenes are so cute and funny. I see why people ship them.#Even Tetchou I don't usually care much about is so !!!!! I love all the hd so much fr!!!!!!!!!!#I love love love Jouno. Like much like it is for Akutagawa I'm very weak for characters that aren't really good people.#But they're still trying to be a better person than they were. And oftentimes they end up doing a terrible job!!#But the fact alone that they're //trying// has me ougheueueueu. Here in this episode you can see Jouno–#sliping very easily in his cruel / sadistic habits. But he is trying to be a person that cares for others! He made good actions in the past #and he will again in the future even though right now he's acting like this! Because improvement isn't linear! I love him tonsss #And DON'T get me started on the ada. Yosano's “Welcome” scene. I love women. I love women. Yosano please one chance #KENJI'S SCENE God I needed this. How could I forget the way this literllyyyyy rewinded my brain when I read the manga for the first time.#That scene is so deep and poignant and so so meaningful I. Oughhh #I am going to run out of tags am I not #Kyouka saving Atsushi!!!!!!! That scene is one of my all time favourites. It makes me soft to remember when the s4 trailer dropped–#I was so overjoyed for that bit of them holding hands :') Rightfully so!!! It's so cute.#Her coming back to save Atsushi. The “don't worry– I didn't kill them” direct towards Atsushi–#that is so so Akutagawa and it sends me insane hhhhhhgggggggggg #Kunikida!!!!! His “I'm not leaving anyone behind”!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not precisely Kunikida's first fan but aaaaaahhh he makes me feel–#so much for him in this scene!!!!! Mmmhhh one last note would be. It bugs me a little how the ada is defined terrorist by the military–#forces starting this episode? I don't have space to elaborate properly but. An action to be considered terrorism must have clear political–#orientation and goal. Violence alone isn't enought to be defined terrorism. i guess i should have been tipped off in the very first episode, when sally questioned the assumption that medusa is a monster. that they were gonna tie medusa more thematically to sally

but they made smelly gabe both more fun to watch and less shitty, (which do not necessarily go hand in hand), and it really made me think they werent gonna have sally kill him. but they are Playing Up the parallels between sally and medusa *hard* (which honestly... the parallels always existed and it astonishes me that i never noticed before. huge props to whoever decided to make it so much more concrete) which makes very little sense unless sally DOES kill smelly gabe.

maybe theyre gonna have sally do something else, but either way its Gonna involve medusa and Hopefully it involves murder and i am Intrigued

Another thing is like... I'm all for timeloops and other general time-travel shenanigans. Dunno if im confident enough in my writing skills to pull off something like that. But I'm looking at some of these plot-beats for Skysail and I'm not saying it's foreshadowing but if I *didn't* make it foreshadowing i'd look kind of dumb

#maccadam #transformers #comic reading #okay but this made me think because he's ckearly alluding to the mnemosurgery #i realized that back when it was mentioned with Overlord and then proceeded to forget #because clearly the term interfacing is falling closer with the computer aspect #thinking about when ratchet mentioned rewind and Chromedome interfacing and yes I'm being mature here #because from what i can see here is it's a connection. I'm betting that mnemosurgery is simply a '' deeper '' form of it #(as it allows them to access both memories and the mind directly)#and yes i can see why that would be very dangerous— opening such a deeply wired connection with something past tense #because with Overlord we clearly see it's a two way connection (even if a lot of mecha do not know it is)#and you do not want dead brain backing up into live brain #plus it seems like the longer a frame has been dead the more dangerous and frayed the details get
